Quaint and picturesque would be apt words to describe the historic fishing village of Steveston. With ties to the fishing industry dating as far back as 1870, the region is still home to Canada’s largest fishing fleet. The area boasts a growing population and, in turn, a number of local businesses; however, it is the 1900s architecture, in tandem with the incredible scenery of the shoreline, that attracts tourist and film industries to the region. It is, thus, no surprise that Steveston is a popular location for filming both movies and television shows.
